Singer and Friedlander Investment Management (SFIM) has appointed Dominic Fisher as Head of UK equities.
Fisher was formerly the head of charities at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. His team managed over £2bn and in 2000 recorded its best ever UK equity returns.
Richard Killingbeck, Chief Executive of SFIM, said: "This appointment underlines our commitment to broadening the expertise of an already excellent investment management team. Dominic brings with him valuable experience from a major firm and shares my belief in the merits of segregated portfolio management."
Fisher said: "In addition to the quality of their investment team, Singers should benefit from two industry trends. First, we are keen to manage segregated portfolios when the majority of our competitors are looking to pool funds. Secondly, with a stable team we can concentrate on providing our clients with the best possible service, during a period of considerable change and uncertainty for many of our larger competitors and their clients."
Fisher's appointment is hot on the heels of new additions David Scott and Francis Clarke. Scott previously worked at Mercury Asset Management for 18 years as the Chief Investment Officer of the Global Private Client Team and International Investment Officer for the Charities Team. Clarke previously held a role at Chase Fleming for 11 years as the Head of the International Private Client Desk.
