one-day training and competency workshops to visit venues around UK
Scottish Provident is sponsoring a series of one-day interactive Training & Competency (T&C) workshops designed to explain how intermediaries can operate effectively within the regulations and make successful, profitable recruitment decisions.
The workshops, which run until November and will visit venues across the UK, are designed to provide a complete guide to the post-N2 requirements of having a training and competency (T&C) regime.
They are being run by Phil Billingham Associates and will focus on the key areas involved in running an effective T&C regime, including recruitment, running a risk-based scheme, training and review and assessment.
Phil Billingham is vice chairman of the Society of Financial Advisers and fellow of the Life Insurance Association. He is also chairman and founder of the IFA Training & Competency Officers forum.
Three kinds of workshops are on offer. Supervisor workshops will run from 14 May through to 20 November. Advanced Supervisor workshops will be available from 5 to 9 July and Supervisor Refresher workshops are planned to run from 7 May to 17 June.
