A further two tranches have been added to HSBC Republic's Alternative Wealth Protector, its 100% capital guaranteed fund of hedge funds.
The offer period for the tranches closes on 25 October 2002. They will have a five-and-a-half-year term, maturing on 29 May 2008.
Investment is linked to the returns of the HSBC Republic Wealth Protection fund. The product offers either a 100% capital guarantee or a combination of 100% of the upside and the ability to gear up to a further 50%, on an annual basis from launch.
For each 15% incremental increase in the invested capital, the product will lock in a profit of 5% of invested capital up to a maximum of 25%. Minimum investment into the fund is $10,000, with a front-end charge of 3%. The annual management fee is 1.7%, with a further 1.75% per year for the implementation and provision of the capital guarantee.
