Scottish Life is restructuring its distribution channels in the wake of its merger with Royal London.
Increased support for financial advisers, across a range of activities, has been identified as an important fact going forward, Alastair Buchanan, head of communications at Scottish Life, said.
The group will now separate distribution, sales strategy and business development as distinct functions, each headed up with a dedicated director reporting to Jim Gilchrist, general manager of sales.
Wilson Morton, previously assistant general manager, now becomes director of sales strategy, Tom Edmond, previously assistant general manager becomes business development director with responsibility for key accounts and pensions e-development.
Andrew Preston, who had worked as chief executive of Scottish Life Mortgages, has become director of UK distribution with overall responsibility for regional sales, Scottish Life mortgages and pension sales.
