Royal Liver Assurance has launched a marketing campaign to IFAs promoting its Children's Tax Exempt Savings Policy as an alternative to Christmas presents.
The marketing activity includes leaflets, which are being sent to IFAs, and a public relations campaign aimed at educating consumers about the availability of friendly society tax-exempt plans.
"After commissioning a UK Financial Awareness Report, backed by MORI research, we found that many people just aren't switched on to how simple some investments can be," says Steve Burnett, Royal Liver chief executive.
"By telling people about our tax exempt savings policy, and promoting it as an alternative Christmas present for kids, we hope to reach people who wouldn't normally consider a long-term investment plan."
