The Insurance Marketing Department is offering free access to seven marketing guides for IFAs until January 17th , to help firms set next year's advertising strategy or consider a switch to fees.
Guides have been published to mark the relaunch and rebranding of IMD's website, says Stephen Phillips, director."The majority of our work is with IFAs and life offices and we wanted to make it clear that this is where our expertise lies. The new logo emphasises our core market focus" says Phillips.

Phillips believes insurance and financial services business will reconverge - as they had looked prior to introduction of regulation in 1986.
"Consumers are unlikely to differentiate between insuring their homes against fire, from arranging a loan on it, or protecting that loan against the financial impact of death or illness," continues Phillips.
"As client servicing becomes more dependent on an ever broader range of requirements, our knowledge of the general insurance market makes the Insurance Marketing Department well placed to help IFAs meet this challenge, while keeping in mind the central importance of life, investment and pension needs," he adds.
