Fleming Investment Management has promoted internally to fill the gap left by William Pattison.
Pattison, manager of the Fleming Claverhouse investment trust, left to join River & Mercantile, now Liontrust Asset Management, in May.
Andrew Spencer continues as head of UK and European equities but S&P Growth & Income fund, which he managed, is now the responsibility of Ross Hollyman, who also manages S&P UK Smaller Companies.
Fund manager of S&P Extra Income and S&P Premier Equity Income, Gary West, has taken on management of Fleming Claverhouse.
Meanwhile the group's ongoing unit trust merger programme has gone through smoothly with one exception. S&P Korea did not receive unitholder approval to merge into the S&P South East Asia Growth fund.
Richard Phillipson, sales operations director at Fleming Fund Marketing, said: 'It is understandable as the unit price on the fund is still below its launch price. There is no immediate rush to do anything with it.'
