Scottish Provident has introduced an online service to provide IFAs with sales ideas and tools design...
The new protection sales centre (www.scotprov.co.uk) gives full online quotations and pre-populated application forms.
Cost of the quotation service, development of the protection sales centre and launch of an online golf game and marketing campaign, is estimated to have cost £120,000.
A joint marketing and technology team of six people was supported by several external agencies.
Scottish Provident handles up to 40,000 quotations per day online, according to Robert Greenshields, head of marketing communications, although most of those are generated through portals such as the Assuresoft's IFA information centre.
Sales through Scottish Provident's own site are expected to increase as a result of the new service.
Greenshields said: "IFAs might go through a comparative portal but then they will probably come to the website to get the full flexibility of quotation. The laboratory lets IFAs compare Self Assurance with other products. Other providers are creating copycat products so we are constantly reviewing the product."
