Steve bee to discuss changes to pensions legislation on 20 venue tour
Scottish Life is set to embark on a national conference tour, headed up by Steve Bee, the group's head of pensions strategy.
The 1% World Tour, aimed exclusively at intermediaries, starts in Edinburgh on Monday 25 February and goes on to visit a further 20 locations around Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Bee will be supported by Royal London Asset Management's head of business development Stan Bland.
The focus of the tour will be on changes in pensions legislation and technical issues that face intermediaries selling life business.
A particular focus will be on the benefits to IFAs of the changed pension environment following the introduction of the new defined contribution regime. Each delegate will receive a copy of Bee's analysis of the pensions environment.
Bee said: 'In the name of simplification, pensions have once again become even more complex. An understanding of the new pensions environment is an absolute requirement for IFAs.'
Alisdair Buchanan, head of communications at Scottish Life, said: 'Bee's seminars have reached cult status as the most entertaining, highly-effective way of communicating complex and important information to IFAs.'
The group's last roadshow, examining issues raised in the FSA consultation paper CP61, attracted more than 2,000 intermediaries.
Intermediaries interested in attending should call 08457 19 20 21, fax 020 7200 4836 or e-mail on [email protected]
