This year's Training & Competence Conference, devised to analyse how the T&C is working in practice, is to be held on Tuesday 3 and Friday 4 December, says conference promoters Taxbriefs.
Aimed at those responsible for the provision, development and maintenance of training and competence throughout the financial services industry, the conference will focus on the imminent unveiling of the FSA examination regime. Conference attendees will hear from the FSA's Head of Training and Competence, Industry Training and Business Ethics, Professor David Jackman.
The first day is aimed at both retail and wholesale professionals and will include topics such as the assessment of the FSA's new examination regime, the management and monitoring of the T&C in the new regulatory environment, the implementation of T&C in administration functions, the future of T&C, the ROI for T&C and, the implementation of T&C in the IFA firm.
The second day addresses specific issues applicable to the wholesale and institutional sector including issues such as best practice and case studies of T&C, implementation of T&C in senior management and ensuring effective continuing professional development.
