Aberdeen and Fidelity gained the most UK national press coverage out of all unit trust and Oeic groups in the last month of the Isa season.
For March they were ranked first and second respectively by PressWatch, an organisation which rates financial services companies by the amount of publicity they generate and adds to the rating for positive reports while deducting points for negative review.
Aberdeen with 297 points and Fidelity, on 232 points, retained their positions from February. Third was INVESCO on 225 points, up from a ranking of seven in February. Henderson Investors dropped back one place to fourth while Gartmore rose one place to fifth.
According to PressWatch the coverage for Aberdeen and Fidelity's product range was highly favourable, in the case of the former its technology unit trust was particularly well received. In a separate category for Isa providers Hendersons gained the top position.
