Fidelity lost its second US fund manager in less than a year after Fergus Shiel, manager of the £1.1bn Fidelity American fund, resigned on Wednesday. Shiel took over the management of the fund last September after the triple-A rated John Muresianu left the group amid rumours of a pay dispute and to set up a hedge fund boutique. Jason Weiner takes the reins from Shiel. Although unknown in the UK retail market, Weiner has over 12 years experience with Fidelity and runs over $5bn in US retail and institutional money.
