Investors planning to put their Isa allowance into investment trusts may need to make their purchase well before 5 April in order to meet the deadline for the 2002/03 tax year.
Cooling-off periods and other administrative matters mean some investment trust Isa schemes close as early as 27 March.
Aberdeen Asset Managers investment trust Isa applications close on 27 March, or 3 April if investors agree to waive the seven day cooling-off period.
Allianz Dresdner Asset Management will accept postal cheque applications up to 5pm on 5 April, but investors acting on intermediary advice must apply by 5pm on 28 March. Baillie Gifford closes on 28 March to allow for the cooling off period.
Close Finsbury Asset Management will accept online applications up to 5pm on 5 April, with payment made by debit card. Postal applications will also be taken up to 5pm, with payment made by cheque to be cleared on a same-day basis.
Collective Assets Trust Isas have a deadline of 27 March while for Deutsche Investment Trust Managers it is 4:30pm on 4 April.
Edinburgh Fund Managers closes at 12 noon on 28 March, with online applications taken with payment made by debit card and postal applications paid by cheque.
F&C will take Isa applications up until 5 April, with online applications accepted up to midnight for payment made by debit card and until noon for postal applications.
Fidelity closes at midnight on 5 April for hand and postal delivery. Gartmore Investment Management and Henderson Global Investors both intend to take Isa applications until 5 April.
By contrast Isis Asset Management closes at 5pm on 27 March for postal and online debit card applications.
Invesco Asset Management applications close on 28 March for new investors and 5 April for existing investors, while Invesco Perpetual Investment Trust Isa applications will be accepted until midnight 5 April.
JPMorgan Fleming closes on 28 March for new investors and 4 April for existing investors.
Martin Currie closes on 5 April for postal applications and the Scottish Investment Trust closes on 4 April at 12 noon.
