Hendersons' head of investment trusts Stephen Westwood is one of four members to be brought onto the executive committee of the Association of Investment Trust Companies.
Stepping down from the committee are Christopher Duffett, Eric Elstob and Ben Wrey who are retiring from the committee, while Rod Birkett has stepped down having recently left the investment trust industry.
Also joining the committee are Dr Simon Colson, Carol Ferguson and George Kershaw.
Colson was head of investment trusts at Deutsche Bank AG London from 1995 to 2001, while Ferguson is a director of the Gartmore Smaller Companies Trust. For the majority of her career Ferguson worked as a partner with Wood Mackenzie and Co Stockbrokers as a research analyst.
Kershaw worked with de Zoete & Bevan and its successors BZW and CSFB from 1977 to 2000.
He acted as head of the investment trust team from 1996 to 2000 and subsequently has specialised in the investment trust sector as a non-executive director and an independent consultant with Investment Trust Associates.
