Clerical Medical has signed up Aberdeen, Newton and Schroders to be the providers of 15 external funds for its pension products.
Clerical Medical, which announced in January its intent to offer externally managed funds, has completed its research and selection process and plans to offer links to its FutureProof range by the end of the year and to its specialist employee benefit solutions range following as soon as possible.
The group believes the three fund management groups selected complement Clerical Medical's range of 22 pension funds and will provide a much wider variety of investment styles.
The funds from Aberdeen include its UK Growth, technology, Asia Pacific and European Growth funds and funds from Schroders include its Managed portfolio, Strategic, UK Smaller Companies and Tokyo funds.
Newton funds are Balanced, managed, Income, American and Continental European funds.
