Skandia has expanded its fund range and from the beginning of September, the Gartmore Stable Growth fund, the Framlington Absolute Growth fund and the Threadneedle Latin America fund will be available to Skandia's life, pension, MultISA, MultiPEP and MultiFUND investors.
The Merrill Lynch UK Value fund, already available to MultISA, MultiPEP and MultiFUND investors, will also be available to Skandia life and pension investors from September as well.
The Gartmore Stable Growth fund is designed for the cautious investor who would like a higher return than a building society account, but with less risk than an equity investment.
The Framlington Absolute Growth fund has a portfolio of approximately 40 zeros, with around 45% in Framlington's top ten holdings. The investment process employed for the fund is intended to target a yield, which is higher than the market average but keeps the risk profile low.
The Threadneedle Latin America fund aims to invest in major economies that Threadneedle believes are undergoing a fundamental change to greater economic and - most importantly - political stability. Thus over 90% of the fund is invested in Mexico and Brazil.
The Merrill Lynch UK Value fund aims to move ahead of momentum driven investors, choosing companies that have been overlooked and appear undervalued (and therefore due for an upward re-rating), often investing in sectors which are currently unfashionable.
