F&C Management has appointed Anthony Broccardo as chief investment officer, following the departure of Arnab Banerji who left in August to take up a position in the civil service.
Broccardo joins F&C from Invesco, where he was chief investment officer of the institutional and overseas department.
Broccardo's former deputy Bill Barron has stepped into the role on a temporary basis while Invesco considers a successor.
Broccardo has also been head of global equities and a global partner at Invesco, following senior positions at Nomura and BZW.
F&C says Broccardo will take up his new position on 1 October, while Invesco says he left his former employer several months ago.
