Edinburgh Fund Managers is waiving transfer charges on any of its 11 investments trusts for Edinburgh Investment Trust investors that wish to remain with the firm rather than follow the trust to Fidelity. The group has mailed trust shareholders setting out options for lump sum investors and regular savers who wish to either remain clients of the firm or continue investing in the £1.092bn trust. The only costs they will have on switching will be stamp duty.
The increase in minimum AE contributions has had little impact on opt-out rates - with cessations after April increasing by less than two percentage points, data from The Pensions Regulator (TPR) shows.
