Misys IFA Services has included Standard Life and Friends Provident on its list of preferred providers.
The supplier of services to IFAs included the groups following a review of the market but decided to remove Scottish Amicable.
Misys decided to split the list of stakeholder preferred providers into separate elements for Individual Pensions and Group Pensions.
The Preferred Providers for individual Stakeholder and Personal Pensions are AXA Sun Life, Norwich Union, Scottish Equitable, Scottish Widows and with the additions of Clerical Medical, Friends Provident and Standard Life.
The preferred providers for Group Stakeholder and Group Personal Pensions are AXA Sun Life, Norwich Union, Scottish Equitable, Scottish Widows and with the additions of Friends Provident and Standard Life.
Patrick Gale, CEO of Misys, said: "It is now more than six months since the official launch of Stakeholder Pensions and some 18 months since we launched the Misys IFA Services preferred provider list for retail pensions. We are pleased to see that our members have done exceptionally well writing new group and individual schemes in what has been a competitive and trying environment running up to the official deadline for implementation of Stakeholder schemes on 8 October 2001."
"The addition of Standard Life and Friends Provident at this review gives members a wide choice of insurers with strong pensions propositions and the resources required to give the best possible chance of staying the course in this important sector."
