London Pacific Assurance is launching a guaranteed protected income bond this week. The sterling-denominated single premium investment bond offers a guaranteed 5% first year rate and minimum 3% per year return after that. The yield can be taken as income on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis, or rolled up to defer tax liabilities. The bond has a seven years and one day lifespan.
