Adrian Frost, former Equity Income unit trust manager at Deutsche Asset Management is "looking for new challenges" and will not be returning to Deutsche when his six-month sabbatical is up next month.
Frost left the firm on April 1 for a six-month break and at the time stated he was not sure whether he would return to Deutsche in the autumn, however, he had previously suggested he would consider running global portfolios.
A spokesman for Deutsche says "Frost will now not be going back, however, he will be continuing to look for new challenges".
John Woodward will also continue to chair the model portfolio committee and Graham Ashby will look after the UK equity fund, says the spokesman.
Graham Ashby took over from Frost in the running of the AA- Deutsche UK Equity Income unit trust, The Deutsche Equity Income investment trust while John Wood took Frost's place as head of UK equities.
