Information on Mercury Asset Management's range of investment and unit trusts will be available on the internet through TrustNet.
The fund management house has signed up with the group which offers free investment fund information to investors. Richard Royds, managing director of UK retail at Mercury, said: "More people are using the internet to receive information about funds. TrustNet is accessible through Freeserve, AOL and MSN which gives us a tremendously strong level of distribution.
"On our own website hit rates are increasing every month. We are looking at ways to develop our own platform. It provides fund prices, performance figures and general information for both the direct investor and the IFA.
The group manages a total of £9.7bn in 24 unit trusts and five investment trusts. Among the trusts available to internet users will be Mercury Keystone investment trust and Mercury Emerging Markets unit trust.
TrustNet covers more than 2,500 funds, including all UK unit trusts and Oeics, all UK investment trusts, plus additional US and offshore closed ended funds. It is located on the web at www.trustnet.co.uk
