Legal and General has redesigned its IFA centre and added key changes which turn the extranet into a practice management tool as well as transaction centre.
Navigation has been simplified and all security has been pushed back so intermediaries only need to log on when IFAs want information specific to clients' fund value, case tracking, quotations and applications.
General information, as well as ideas on how to improve business practices and marketing, is now accessible through L&G's 'tiered approach', offering information and presentations for product campaigns, marketing support and simple tips on improving business potential.
All individual links to L&G's business tools, such as the L&G Mortgage Club, can now be found under the extranet , along with online term assurance, Isas, new business tracking, policy enquiries, valuations, quotation systems - including Protection Choices - and the E-TVAS calculator for pension transfers.
L&G's extranet now has 14,000 users, having launched in 1997, but officials are expecting interest in its use to increase.
