HSBC has launched four single country emerging market ETFs providing exposure to Indonesian, Korean, Malaysian and Taiwanese equities.
All will be listed on the London Stock Exchange by today at a total expense ratio of 0.60%, with further registrations and cross-listings planned for across Europe.
In line with HSBC's existing ETF platform, the HSBC MSCI Indonesia, MSCI Korea, MSIC Malaysia and MSCI Taiwan funds will all use physical replication to replicate their underlying indices.
HSBC head of ETFs Farley Thomas says: "Investors in Europe have historically had access to Indonesia and Malaysia through swap-based ETFs and there is generally a limited choice available for investors seeking access to all four of these Asian markets."
The bank says the launch adds to its current ETF offering in the region, which includes MSCI China, MSCI EM far East, MSCI Pacific ex-Japan and MSCI Japan funds.
