ProShares has launched two ETFs providing leveraged exposure to the US Treasury market on the NYSE Arca exchange.
The ProShares Ultra 20+ Year Treasury fund is designed to deliver twice the daily performance of the Barclays Capital 20+ Year US Treasury index.
The issuer has also released the ProShares Ultra 7-10 Year Treasury fund, which returns twice the daily performance of the Barclays Capital 7-10 Year US Treasury index.
ProShares says demand for the firm's inverse Treasury funds has also been strong, with the ProShares UltraShort 20+ Year Treasury ETF attracting more than $4.6bn in less than two years.
The firm adds the latest launch of leveraged long funds is in response to client demand for counterparts to the inverse fixed-income ETF range.
ProShare Advisors CEO Michael Sapir says: "The new ETFs provide magnified exposure to Treasury securities and afford potential opportunities to benefit from dips in interest rates."
He adds: "No matter what the longer-term interest rate trend, short-term up and down moves can offer tactical investment opportunities for knowledgeable investors."
