Alan Price, sales director at index services company Indxis talks about his kids' eclectic music taste and home renovations.
What are you currently reading?
I read lots of books; at the moment I'm reading Harlan Coben's latest book Miracle Cure which is actually a re-release. They are good books and whenever he brings out a book, it's a bestseller.
Is there anything you listen to on repeat on your iPod/MP3 player?
I turn on my iPhone when I get off the mainline train and get on the tube - for 10-15 minutes I chill out completely.
For father's day my kids thought it would be good to put together their favourite songs; with teenage kids it's an eclectic mix. I'm getting to grips with bands like the Foo Fighters, but there is the skip button for the ones I can't listen to. Out of around 300 there are half a dozen I really like.
What is your ideal way of relaxing after a long day in the office?
I have been doing major house renovations, which are draining for the pocket and energy levels. Sounds odd but to relax I immerse myself in DIY which takes your mind off things.
If you weren't working in financial services what would you be doing?
I would probably be involved in property. I have a certain hankering to be (not quite a property developer) but renovator of old houses. My father was in the building trade and I was on site from a small age which gave me this interest.
