We have seen the development of one-year fixed-term annuities since the Budget. But do they represent good value for money? Fiona Murphy takes a closer look.

The flexibility introduced in the Budget has meant that a large number of retirees are stuck in limbo. They no longer have to annuitise, but if they do anything this year, they will be locked into the old regime.
