Offshore bonds have ­always played an­ ­important part in peoples’ retirement planning, but they have primarily been seen as a high net worth solution. However, the recent decrease in the annual pension contribution limit from £255,000 to £50,000 means that more people than ever are likely to include offshore bonds in their retirement planning.
