It may be tough for platforms to keep pace with rapid technological changes, says Lucy Edmans, but just a few changes could make a small part of financial services more accessible and intuitive to younger savers

I joined the lang cat in March 2016. I am a complete financial services newbie surrounded by people who have been living and breathing finance for many years. Their level of domain expertise really is formidable, as is their level of geekery and social awkwardness - though, of course, there might be a correlation there. Within a few weeks of starting, I was cast to the lions - well, the platform proposition bods - to sit through many hours of proposition demos.
