Professional Adviser's sister title Investment Week has revealed the winners of its inaugural Tax Efficiency Awards 2016/17, which are designed to recognise the most forward-thinking providers in the areas of VCTs, EIS and BPR/IHT.
Changes to the pensions regime in the UK, allied to a widespread interest in earlier-stage investment opportunities, have turned the attention of investors towards tax-efficient schemes in this area.
The government also remains committed to encouraging the tax-efficiency sector to fill the investment gap left by the High Street banks when it comes to early-stage and growth company funding.

The awards were judged by a respected panel of advisers and sector commentators and the awards lunch took place on Friday 2 December in London.
