Advice firms offer 'tasters' for Financial Planning Week

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) has attracted 18 advice firms to offer free 'taster' sessions to consumers during its annual Financial Planning Week.

The organisation, which merged with the event's original host the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) late last year, said it wants to improve the nation's "financial fitness" by offering free advice sessions to all members of the public. This year's initiative will start on 6 June and will offer consultation surgeries, either in person, via skype or over the phone, alongside ‘Ask a Planner' online sessions and talks at schools across the country.
