Net retail sales jump to highest level since July in November

Appetite for UK Equity Income boosts flows

Total net retail sales reached their second highest level for 2015 in November at £1.7bn, according to latest figures from the Investment Association.

Equities continued to be the best-selling asset class for the seventh month in a row with net retail sales of £1.1bn.  The UK was the best-selling region for equity funds with net retail sales of £611m, followed by Europe with £367m and Japan with £134m. Global and North America were back in the black following outflows in October while Asia was the worst-selling region with outflows of £78m. UK Equity Income returned as the best-selling sector with net retail sales of £448m followed by October's top-seller Targeted Absolute Return at £306m and Europe exc UK at £232m.  Investors...
