The Investment Association has appointed former Barclays Wealth chief executive Peter Horrell to the board, the first appointment since the exit of Daniel Godfrey, Investment Week can reveal.
Horrell (pictured) spent over a decade at Barclays Wealth, including two years as chief executive, before leaving in April 2013. He is now UK managing director at Fidelity Worldwide Investment. There are 18 members in total on the Investment Association's board of directors, which is chaired by Newton Investment Management chief executive Helena Morrissey. Other prominent board members include Jasper Berens, managing director of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Andrew Formica, chief executive of Henderson, and Paul Feeney, CEO of Old Mutual Wealth.
