Square Mile follows peers with new passives ratings

Research firm adds 46 trackers to recommended list

Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research has followed an industry-wide trend by including ratings for open-ended passive funds into its Academy of Funds.

Initially, the ratings service has added 46 new passive funds to its recommended list, awarding them an "R" rating. The ratings are designed to help investors choose the most appropriate passive funds to meet their objective of matching index returns most closely. Its addition of passives to the fund list follows similar moves by other consultancies and wealth managers, most recently FE Trustnet and Charles Stanley.
