Pension transfers: Site offers 170,000 savers' details for £600

A website is offering telemarketers access to hundreds of individuals it claims are interested in transferring their pots, for a small fee.

Site Data Pond is offering the names, addresses and telephone numbers of 170,000 people it says have a ‘personal pension in place and [are] looking to transfer' for £585. The file, which Data Pond points out is ‘for telemarketing use only', is ‘fully cleansed, verified and up to date', the website reads. It is also offering the details of an additional 28,000 pension savers for £575, though this file includes individuals' email addresses and can be used for ‘email marketing, telemarketing and direct mail use'.
