UKIP IFA Mark Hughes labels govt's pensions guidance approach 'unfair'

An IFA standing for the UK Independence Party (UKIP) at this year's general election has said financial education and the provision of quality advice to the mass market will form part of his campaign ahead of the publication of the party's manifesto next week.

Mark Hughes, owner of Hertfordshire-based Mark Hughes & Associates, joined UKIP in 2012 and will stand as an MP for Harwich & North Essex in the 7 May polls. He is also regulatory and pensions adviser to the party. He has previously contested the East Anglia seat for the party at the last European elections, following two unsuccessful attempts at becoming an MP for the Conservative Party. He told Professional Adviser UKIP will pledge to create a system in which "everyone who needs it" will have access to affordable advice at two "critical stages" in their lives - when they enter work ...
