Origo launches bulk DC pension transfer service

Pension transfer specialist Origo is to launch an automated defined contribution (DC) bulk transfer service this autumn.

The service will transfer member data between providers and administrators in both trust-based occupational and contract-based workplace pension schemes. This will occur in switching or consolidation scenarios. Current transfers are reliant on data sent on spreadsheets and manual administration, said Origo. This creates inefficiencies and impacts the security of the transfer, the firm added.
