FundsNetwork glitch saw client's £50k 'disappear'

An unidentified problem at Fidelity FundsNetwork caused £50,000 to temporarily ‘disappear' from view from an advised client's portfolio.

Ark Financial Planning principal Phil Stevenson said his clients have over £500,000 invested via FundsNetwork, Fidelity's platform. But for two weeks when they looked at their 'client view' of their assets online, more than £50,000 was missing from their investments. Fidelity said the problem had now been resolved. Stevenson contacted FundsNetwork about the issue a fortnight ago when he was first alerted to it by his clients.
