Ascentric's Thorman sets exit date after Royal London buyout

Ascentric managing director Hugo Thorman is to leave the firm this summer following Royal London's buyout of the platform's minority shareholding in the business.

Thorman, who joined Ascentric in 2005, first announced he would step down from the role last summer. At that time Ascentric said Thorman would remain as chairman of the group, working closing with incoming managing director Jon Taylor. But Ascentric announced on 13 January that Thorman will leave in July to "pursue opportunities elsewhere". He will be replaced as chairman by Royal London Asset Management CEO Andrew Carter. The platform also revealed that parent company Royal London, a majority stakeholder since 2007, has bought out Ascentric's minority shareholding in the business....
