Aegon launches retirement-focused High Income fund

Aegon has launched a High Income fund intended to help investors take advantage of pension freedoms coming announced in the Budget.

The new portfolio will be managed by Kames Capital's Vincent McEntegart and will be available across all Aegon's advised propositions.  It will invest in a mix of income-producing assets, including investment grade and high yield bonds, UK and global equity, listed property, and specialist income investments. Up to 30% of the fund can also be held in alternatives with low correlation to bonds and equities, and the investment process will not be constrained by a benchmark.
