Aegon reveals plans if Scots vote for independence

Aegon would establish a new registered life company in England should Scots vote for independence on 18 September.

This would be in addition to its existing Scottish and English registered companies, chief executive Adrian Grace (pictured) said. "This means irrespective of any currency, regulatory or tax change we can continue to serve all our customers," Grace said. Policies for Aegon's non-Scottish customers will continue to be in Sterling. "We will support any different currency for Scottish based customers," Grace said.
