FITCH Ratings has published new Real Estate Asset Manager rating criteria.
Focused on real estate-specific factors, the new criteria are divided into five groups: company and staffing; risk management and controls; investment selection; portfolio management; and investment administration. Roger Schneider, a director in Fitch Ratings' Fund and Asset Manager Group, said: "Our new Real Estate Asset Manager rating approach provides enhanced focus on the specialised backgrounds, investment skills, and investment processes needed to ensure effective management of real estate investments."
