In this week's video interview for PA's Investment Influencers series, where we chat to the most respected individuals who select funds, decide ratings or otherwise influence the allocation of investor fund flows, we hear from Marcus Brookes of Schroders.
Brookes heads the Schroders' Multi-Manager team having joined from Cazenove Capital Management following its acquisition in July 2013. Before his time at Cazenove, he worked for Gartmore Investment Management, where he spent four years as deputy head of the firm's multi-manager team.
Prior to this, Brookes was co-manager of the multi-manager fund range at Rothschild. He graduated from the University of Stirling with an MSc in Investment Analysis and brings more than 20 years of investment experience to the Schroders team.
The Investment Influencers series, which has most recently featured Nigel Waller of Oldfield Partners, Shauna Bevan of RiverPeak and James Burns of Smith & Williamson, offers insights into how key players in the asset management sector see the world of investing and expect to deal with such challenges as greater market volatility, increased regulation and a growing trend towards short-termism.
