Bolton bows out: Manager feels 'vindicated' by final year

Anthony Bolton has said he feels his final year in charge of the Fidelity China Special Situations investment trust has 'vindicated' his decision to come out of retirement.

While the manager said he was disappointed with the overall performance of the trust during his tenure, he said the past year-and-a-half has gone some way to countering some of the criticisms he has faced since returning. "The most disappointing thing for me was the overall performance of the trust, but I made a big play on new China and in the last 18 months that has really come in to its own," he said.
