L&G targets HNW clients of DFMs with launch of tax solutions team

Legal & General (L&G) has set up a small team focused on providing tax solutions to high-net worth (HNW) clients of discretionary fund managers (DFMs) and the advisers who use them.

Private Client Solutions is made up of three people who will meet advisers and DFMs face to face to discuss tax solutions for HNW individuals, two people who will do the same via the telephone, and further staff to provide sales and admin support to the team. The team will be available to talk through client tax scenarios with DFMs and advisers, and will actively promote L&G's own range of tax products, mainly its offshore bond, self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs) from its SIPP business Suffolk Life, as well as protection cover from L&G Assurance.
