FSA sets dates for RDR 'surgeries'

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is to hold a series of retail distribution review (RDR) implementation surgeries across the country, begininng at the end of this month.

A total of 110 sessions will be held across 11 locations and the free events will be open to more than one adviser per firm. The FSA said the surgeries would provide an opportunity for advisers to discuss their progress, business models and the steps they need to take to be ready for the 31 December deadline. In a speech to the Personal Finance Society conference in October, Linda Woodall, head of investments department at the FSA, explained how the surgeries would be crucial to maintaining the industry's momentum.
