Lord Hunt to head CII's Professional Standard Board

Former chairman of the Aifa, Lord Hunt of Wirral, has been appointed to oversee members' ethical conduct as chairman of the Chartered Insurance Institute's Professional Standards Board.

David Hunt stepped down from his role as the first Aifa chairman at the end of 2002, to take up a new role as senior partner of national commercial law firm Beachcroft Wansbroughs. However, Lord Hunt has held varying positions on committees and with professional bodies since having also worked on several other government committees and industry boards, including the legal team which established the Pension Advisers Support System (PASS), the Raising Standards initiative and the Pensions Protection Investments Accreditation Board (PPIAB).
