Downing Corporate Finance intends to launch a technology VCT and raise up to £10m to invest mainly in internet companies. The i-Net VCT is to be managed by an investment team led by Richard Hargreaves, who already manages Downing Classic VCT and Downing Classic 2 VCT. The launch will come at the beginning of the new tax year, unusual offer period for VCT fundraisings. Nicholas Lewis, director of Downing Corporate Finance, said: "The demand for VCTs this season has outstripped supply and we believe now is the perfect time to be launching an internet VCT."
