Former SWIP UK equities manager Jeremy Charles has joined wealth management boutique Thurleigh Investment Managers.

Kames Capital has appointed Sam Carter to the role of business development manager within its retail discretionary sales team.

Norwich-based IFA Almary Green has hired business protection specialist Debbie Evans.

Evans will advise clients on business protection as well as all aspects of business financial planning, including staff pensions, group medical and life insurance schemes and staff benefits.

MetLife has appointed Shirley Fell as its chief operations officer, UK. It said the appointment was part of its drive to increase its focus on customer service for both advisers and clients.
